About Center Municipal Airport
Center Municipal Airport (F17) is a vibrant general aviation airport owned and operated by the City of Center, Texas. The airport features a single 5,501’ by 75’ runway that is capable of accommodating a wide range of general aviation aircraft, from smaller piston-powered aircraft up to mid-sized business jets. Recreational flying, agricultural spraying, and corporate business travel are a few of the top activities at Center Municipal. The airport is also an important economic engine for the City of Center, offering significant benefits to the community and region.
The City of Center is undertaking an update to the Airport Layout Plan, or ALP, to chart the course for the airport’s continued success. This planning study will serve as a proactive document that will identify and then plan for future facility needs, ensuring that the city can coordinate project approvals, design, financing, and construction when the need arises. The primary goal is to properly plan for timely development of the airport to ensure its continued viability from a functional, social, and environmental perspective.
